Blake’s Cherokee Trail High School Senior Portraits. Blake opted for the epitome of the Colorado mountain backdrop to showcase his casual and dapper look. I love how we displayed is true look with a casual black, jeans and the rugged look of the boots that tied in nicely with rock and pines trees. Mom wanted a a more dressed up look with a stylish button up and slacks that looked amazing against the scenic mountains. The 2 family dogs made for a fun shot with Blake and complete and memorable photo with the whole family.

Why this location is great for guys; especially guys who are in sports or outdoorsy.

Mountains are rugged. Rugged suggest test of ability, strongly built and arduous. Boys who are in sports or play or work outside can withstand strain and exposure to the elements.

Tips for outfits in the nature scene:

Bold, darker colors( dark blue orange, brown, reds and black). Colors bring out the subject from the the background in a subtle way to suggest the background, but our main focus is the subject.

Colors to refrain from:

Lighter colors (whites, bright or light neon colors). Brighter colors can conflict with background causing visual chaos. Brighter colors reflect the natural light and artificial light which can make the subject look like a beacon in the night.
