Gavin’s Arapahoe High School senior Portraits

Gavin’s Arapaho High School senior portrait session was instrumental! When I spoke to Gavin’s mom on the phone for Gavin’s consultation, she expressed that Gavin wanted the nature backdrop for his photos. On Gavin’s intake form Julie put down that Gavin played flute and bassoon. I admit, I had to Google bassoon. Gavin also wanted photos with his girl Luna (if I remember her name correctly). Dogs are always welcome and in fact, I encourage them to be in the photos. Some take a little more patience than others, but Luca was a good girl!

Julie had looked through my location suggestions, we discussed what I thought would be a GRAND spot to showcase Gavin’s talents with music. No better spot than the spot that looks out to the mountains. It was a go for that spot!

The weather was meh, maybe a bit more overcast then I would like, especially at the end, it really started to cloud up. But I am extremely happy with the end results! I love Gavin’s formal wear along with his casual outfit. It went with the setting so nicely and his formal wear was a bit of juxtaposition. And of course, Luna made the perfect accessory, too, she earned her treats!

So happy with the look of Gavin’s images! For a kid who wasn’t thrilled to get his photos taken, and what guy really is, he did amazing and his dad helped him crack a few genuine smiles!
